My mother always wanted me to become an actress, but I wanted to model, become a doctor, veterinarian, or whatever else I could do. For someone like Hailey Bright, performing is natural. Born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, raised in Knoxville, she was discovered right in her hometown mall.
Growing up, Hailey was interested in fine arts; anything performance based. She took cheerleading, dance, and musical theater, so acting was a cinch. “I was in the local mall and they were having auditions for one person to be on an episode of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. My friend and I auditioned and the casting agent was interested in me.” She turned the casting agent down at first, to finish college, but assured the agent that she would contact her immediately after. She graduated from The University of Tennessee with a degree in Marketing and Advertising, and kept her promise. She called the agent and was immediately booked for a Time Warner Cable commercial. The opportunity to work full-time in Los Angeles was presented to Hailey, and she took it. Hailey has also modeled for American Eagle, Spike TV, Microsoft, IGN, and BusyGamer.com. Most recently, she modeled for the new Spiderman Comic Book, as Victoria Hand, the assistant to the Green Goblin. “You come in and take a few pictures. They draw off the pictures to create the storyline. It is really awesome to see it all come together.”
Coming to Los Angeles, only wanting to act, Hailey’s main goal is to eventually work for E! Entertainment, alongside Ryan Seacrest. Hosting shows like Coin-Op TV “a show centered around video-gaming and nerd culture, similar to Comicon.” and the Championship Video-Gaming Series, a show on news and events, take up most of her time. ” The trick is to stay grounded and not let anything go to your head……being famous, overrated.” Bright Idea Productions is Hailey’s company and it comes to show that her moving to Los Angeles was a BRIGHT IDEA, and she will continue to grow as a host, model and actress.
