Bryson Anthony Robinson, a.k.a. STUDENT, is talent at its finest! Within five years this young man intends to own his own production label company or be at the peak of his field – dominating the game. From the looks and sounds of his skills, it is definitely a possibility.
I was ever so graciously welcomed into his home where all the magic goes down! Where the art of music and sound are born and lived out! The place was nice and very cozy, but what stood out the most was the vast equipment that seemed to swallow the room from wall to wall.
STUDENT is in love with what he does. Every beat and sound has been a visual thought in his head and put out to be heard. As he says, “These beats are sounds of emotions.” His passion is so deep and true that you can feel it in each song. STUDENT noted that growing up playing the drums in church is what ignited the flame for his love of music.
STUDENT not only loves music but he chose to immerse himself into his field by taking full advantage of a musical education. In 2007 STUDENT attended the Musician Institute in Los Angeles, CA. It is there where he earned his name “STUDENT.” According to STUDENT, the institute allowed all students 24-hour access to the equipment and studios. STUDENT (known for being present 23 out of the 24hrs available) came to earn his trademark name from both his fellow students and professors because of his adoration. To hear him tell it, he was there taking full advantage of his opportunities and will do so again when he attends the Los Angeles Recording School in Southern California next fall.
Listening to a few demos of his beats, I was beyond impressed! He covers all genres of music and is able to tell a story every time. As an artist he is able to listen to his musicians’ lyrics and create a beat as they are merely speaking the lyrics. Amazing! Not only is he covering every genre he is also passionate for music of movie making, commercials, infomercials and much, much more. With Quincy Jones being one of his biggest inspirations, it is safe to expect the supreme quality of work that will be delivered from STUDENT. “A major album placement would be nice,” he adds. As of right now, STUDENT is currently working with various artists, producing mix tapes and independent albums.
What people admire most about STUDENT is his passion and commitment, which does not appear to be lessening. The knowledge is there; the experience is there; the skills are there! Everything he needs to become successful he either possesses or has access to. This man is going places. He is ready and willing to explore every field that the music industry has to offer, whether it be sampling or creating. I am rooting for him and will forever be a fan of the talented STUDENT.
